St. Joseph's School-La Salle Medical/Dental Mission

St. Joseph's School-La Salle Medical/Dental Mission

After 25 years, it will finally happen! It's the 46th Grand Alumni Homecoming of St. Joseph's School-La Salle in Bacolod City, Philippines! The hosts of this event are the 2010 Silver Jubilarians- the Batch 1985 of SJS-LS, formerly known as St. Joseph's High School- Bacolod, one of the schools of the La Sallian Brothers. I'm pretty sure that a lot of Silver Jubilarians and other alumni of the said school who are now spread throughout the world, would love to know more about the alumni homecoming especially those who can't make it this year. The actual alumni homecoming will be held this coming December 30, 2010 at the Oscar J. Hilado Civic Center right inside the said school in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City.

Just this December 28, a medical/dental mission was held on the said venue where 9 dentists have volunteered to render their services for free for more than 25 recipients from the Bantay Bata of ABS-CBN and 100 from the St. Joseph Community which includes Barangay Villamonte where the school is situated. There were many who donated medicines and other things needed for the mission which includes Capt. Michael Palma, also an alumnus of SJS-LS Batch '77. The doctors who willingly offered their services were: Dr. Arnel and Lisa Calakasan, Dr. Dante and Grace Demegillo, Dr. Glenn Tan, Dr. Evelyn Reliquias, Mr. Eitel Arricivita, Mr. Edmund de la Noche and Dr. Selwya Batoyo, the school's dentist.

Mrs. Amylda Leyes, the president of Batch '85, along with her batchmates, were very pleased of the outcome of the said event. And on the next day, December 29, they will be planting lots of trees and this time to help the environment. TWo more days to go and it's going to be the biggest night in the whole history of St. Joseph's School- La Salle! We'll be posting more of the activities right here so stick around or come back from time to time! This is dedicated to all La Sallians all over the world especially the alumni of St. Joseph's School- La Salle!

ANIMO LA SALLE! Live Jesus in our hearts....FOREVER!
